What's the actual difference between remote work, hybrid work, and work-from-home?
These terms get used interchangeably but they're not quite the same thing. Can someone break down what each one actually means for a job seeker?

"Remote work" usually means the role has no fixed office requirement at all — you could live anywhere your employer allows. "Hybrid" means you split time between an office and home, often on a set schedule (e.g. three days in, two days remote). "Work-from-home" is more of an umbrella term people use loosely for any arrangement where you're working outside a traditional office, including both fully remote and hybrid setups. When you're job-hunting, it's worth confirming which one a listing actually means — some companies post "remote-friendly" roles that turn out to require you to live within commuting distance of a hub office.
