This year's 20-special lineup leans into pop culture more than usual — it kicked off with "K-Pop Shark Heroes," featuring comedian Ken Jeong and REI AMI (from "KPop Demon Hunters") exploring recent shark-related incidents around Korea and East Asia. Other highlights include the return of fan-favorite franchise "Air Jaws: Red, White and Breach," Josh Gates' "Expedition Unknown: Shark Secrets" investigating the first recorded shark attack, and "Ultimate Shark Dive," following cliff diver Molly Carlson attempting a record-setting dive into shark-infested waters. Several specials also focus on real research, like tracking down a record-breaking great white nicknamed "Big Rose" off Nova Scotia using new tagging technology. The full week runs nightly through August 1 with two to three new premieres each night.
