What are the best websites to find legitimate remote jobs right now?

I'm tired of scrolling through Indeed and LinkedIn and getting mostly hybrid or in-office roles mislabeled as remote. What sites actually specialize in vetted remote listings?

A few boards consistently come up as reliable starting points: We Work Remotely and Remote OK are large, free, and skew heavily toward tech/design roles. Remote.co and FlexJobs both hand-screen listings (FlexJobs is a paid subscription but tends to have less noise). Wellfound (formerly AngelList) is good if you want startup roles with visible salary/equity info. For general boards like LinkedIn and Indeed, searching "remote" alone isn't enough — pair it with a NOT filter for "hybrid" and double-check the listing itself, since a lot of postings get mistagged. Applying directly through a company's own careers page is also generally safer and cuts out any third-party noise entirely.
